Sundaze

I don't know about you, but the weekend are my days to detox. That means skincare and reorganization for me. These are some of my steps to have a perfect stress relief Sunday.

First of all is skin care. Knowing that I am cleaning and caring for my skin, makes me refreshed and ready for the day. It is really important to wash your face in the morning and at night before you tuck in, no matter the skin type you have. Skin is skin is skin! My absolute favorite product to use for this is the Clear Complexion duo from Aveeno. The foaming cleanser is so smooth and leaves your skin feeling soft and clean. You can use your fingers, a cotton ball, or a face brush to apply the wash. When I wash my face, I start with warm water to really open up my pores, and end with cold to make sure they are closed and protected from more dirt and debris from getting it. After your face is washed and dried, apply the daily moisturizer. I love the moisturizer as someone who have oily skin because I find it doesn't leave behind a residue. It absorbs beautifully, and makes your skin very soft. If I were to give one critique it would be that I do wish the daily moisturizer did contain SPF, especially for people who are susceptible to easy burning.

After my skincare routine is done, I go back into my room and make my bed. Sounds pretty strange, but to me having a nice neat bed puts me in a positive mindset along with feeling organized. This goes for room décor as well. Even if you just dust your shelves, or rearrange some décor pieces, it can provide you with a fresh vibes which can lead to having brand new inspiration. Its the little things that can really make a difference.
Next thing is to hydrate! This one is a no brainer but drinking is such an essential thing, especially in the hotter seasons. Also it connects back to taking care of your skin. Water is so important when you are trying to clean and clear out your pores. Although, this is pretty easy for me to say because I have always been a big water drinker, but for someone who isn't so big on water it could propose a challenge. One way to make water more interesting is to add fresh fruits to add extra flavor. My favorite combination is lemon and mint, but you can add any of your of preferences. The mixtures are as endless as your imagination. Berries, citrus, and cucumber are all amazing and refreshing to add into plain old water. Here's a tip for you to use: If you put your fruits into a large pitcher of iced water and place it in your fridge for a while, it really allows the flavors to infuse!
At the end of my day of relaxation, the final thing I enjoy doing it a face mask! It is so simple to just apply the mask and leave it on with you watch a movie or reading by candlelight. Peel off masks are my absolute favorite. This one by Hey Honey is the one I have been using lately. It not only smells amazing, but it applies very well. I was really impressed because my tube was only a sample size, but I was able to get about three treatments out of it! The mask is so easy to take of and leaves my skin smooth and silky. The perfect ending to the perfect day.
